The Lumia 640 XL is one of Microsoft's newest Windows Phone handsets launched on the market. As such, the phone ships with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 onboard, which is not available for all Lumia smartphones on the market.

Unveiled back in March, the Lumia 640 XL already made it to lots of markets across the globe. In some countries, the device is among the most popular smartphones on the market thanks to its great specs / price ratio.

Well, it looks like the Lumia 640 XL is even better than we thought since the folks over at WindowsMania.pl report the smartphone features wireless charging support.

This means that with the right wireless charging back cover, Lumia 640 XL owners should be able to recharge their phones more easily.

The information isn't confirmed by Microsoft, so it's unclear whether or not the wireless charging feature actually works on the Lumia 640 XL assuming the appropriate cover is added.

However, the phone's user manual does show the pins used for wireless charging, which are placed under the back cover of the Lumia 640 XL.

If you've been on fence on getting the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL for whatever reasons, here is another one, apart from the excellent price, that should make you change your mind.

The Lumia 640 XL comes with a large 5.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The smartphone is equipped with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

More importantly, the Lumia 640 XL is powered by a 3,000 mAh batery, which is rated for up to 935 hours of standby time or up to 30 hours in talk time (24 hours in 3G mode).
