If you're one of those who'd like to see Microsoft release a new phablet that would replace the somewhat aged Lumia 1520, then this concept might easily get your attention.

The designers over at Microsoft Lovers (Facebook page) have created a new concept imagining what they call the Lumia 1430, a new phablet that could join Microsoft's Lumia series of phones with a familiar design and really powerful hardware capabilities.

Before getting deeper into details, remember that this is just a concept for the time being, and although some might want it to see daylight in the coming months, chances are that Microsoft will ignore it and never release it. After all, this is just a user concept and doesn't belong to Microsoft in any way.

Familiar design

The first thing you might notice when looking at this concept is the familiar design, with the traditional Lumia cues which strongly remind us of the Lumia 930.

In fact, it all seems to be a bigger version of the Lumia 930, with a smaller bezel and Microsoft branding. The back of the device, on the other hand, is really cool.

In addition to the gold color and the white panel at the bottom of the case (whose purpose is still hard to determine), the rear side features the Microsoft branding and the camera with the exact same design as on the Lumia 930.

Technical specs

Even though this is just a concept, designers have also published a series of specs that could make the Lumia 1430 a really powerful phablet.

First and foremost, it has a 6-inch display, which could make it the perfect Lumia 1520 replacement. The resolution is 1920x1080px, so this could easily become a Windows Phone flagship.

At the same time, buyers would also be provided with 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, plus the possibility of expanding it with a microSD card of up to 128 GB.

As far as cameras are concerned, there's a 16-megapixel unit with Zeiss optics on the back and a 5-megapixel version on the front for selfies and Skype chatting.

Designers claim that this would be the perfect device to launch with Windows Phone 10 and we fully agree. It does look gorgeous and Microsoft would really do itself a favor to launch such a model.
