Willing to pay with PR

Microsoft is looking for success stories from customers related to Office 2007, the successor of Office 2003. One of the aspects of the marketing efforts for the Redmond company involved including and highlighting of the client's perspective following the adoption of its technologies. Office 2007 makes no exception to this rule. And in this regard, the software giant has invited customers running Office 2007 who want to share their story with the company and ultimately with potential new customers to submit their feedback.

“Have you got an Office 2007 success story you'd like to share? Perhaps an illustration of how Office 2007 has helped your small business in a very specific or innovative way? We're looking for examples we can use in our marketing literature - around 50 words on how Office 2007 is proving to be of benefit in your everyday work life. Whether it's time saving, integration between Office applications, managing customers and quotes with Business Contact Manager or something different - please let us know,” revealed a member of the Microsoft Small Business team.

Office 2007 was released concomitantly with Windows Vista at the end of January 2007. Over three years later the company will make available to customers the successor of the 2007 version, namely the Office 2010 System. July 2009 is in this regard the month in which the first Technology Preview build of Office 2010 will start shipping to select and limited testers. Microsoft plans to release a Beta of Office 2010 by the end of 2009 and to deliver the final development milestone in the first half of 2010.

But in the meantime, Microsoft continues to promote Windows 7, and is willing to trade PR for feedback. “You and your company will be credited, giving you some great PR and market presence.
