It's no surprise that Microsoft plans to launch one or more premium Lumia smartphones later this year, and details about their specs already leaked a few weeks ago.

Today, new info on two of the most advanced Windows Phones that Microsoft plans to release this year has emerged online, and judging from the specs mentioned, they will be far more powerful than any other smartphone launched by the Redmond-based company so far.

According to a new report, the two smartphones are internally known as “Cityman” and “Talkman.” Since they will ship with Window 10 on board, they will both be launched after Microsoft releases the new operating system.

The first one, codename Cityman, is said to sport a large 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. This is a huge step forward from the previous flagship smartphones launched by Microsoft.

On the inside, the Cityman will be equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. A microSD card slot for memory expansion will be included as well.

There will be a 20-megapixel camera on the back (probably PureView), along with a 5-megapixel camera in front. The smartphone will be powered by a high-capacity 3,000 mAh battery.

Moving on to the second high-end Lumia smartphone, the Talkman is rumored to feature a slightly smaller 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display with the same Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels).

Both smartphones will pack Qualcomm high-end chipsets

The Talkman will be equipped with a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

On the back, the device will boast the same 20-megapixel photo snapper, while on the front side there will be a 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

Other highlights of the Talkman include microSD card slot for memory expansion and 3,000 mAh removable battery. The plan is to keep the Talkman thinner than the Lumia 930, but we will see how it goes.

It's also worth mentioning that both upcoming smartphones will feature triple-LED (triple tone) flash for their main cameras.

In terms of software, they will be powered by Windows 10 for Phones, which is expected to go live this fall. Apart from that, rumor has it that Microsoft plans to include a new feature that will allow Windows 10 smartphone users to make and take calls from their Windows PC, by using headphones and a microphone.
