Microsoft has just launched a web version of the classic Hover game available in Windows 95, thus trying to showcase the power of its modern browser to everyone.

“It’s a combination of bumper cars and capture the flag, and at the time, it displayed cutting edge graphics on PCs. As you might imagine, our multimedia capabilities have increased over the past 18 years, as has the prevalence of the internet. That’s why we are thrilled to bring Hover back with IE11 and its support for modern web standards,” Microsoft said.

Of course, Microsoft used this occasion to praise Internet Explorer, which is said to be 30 percent faster than all the other browsers, regardless of whether you are using it on desktops or tablets.

The game can be played with both keyboards and touch controls, providing “extremely accurate touch responsiveness and optimization,” as Microsoft mentioned.
