As expected, Microsoft has released the sequel to its Wordament smash hit, Snap Attack, in Windows Phone Store. Although Snap Attack is referred to as a sequel to Wordament, which is a boggle type of game, the former is in fact another genre.

According to developers Jason Cahill and John Thornton, the same people that created Wordament as well, Snap Attack is a scrabble-like game with a much bigger potential on the gaming market given the fact that there are more scrabble players than boggle addicts.

Wordament Snap Attack plays like a “fast-paced word-building tournament,” which is perfect for those who do not have time to play for long.

The game only challenges players' brains in 2 1/2-minute rounds and at the end of each session, a real-time leaderboard will display how all participants ranked by score.

Keep in mind that players from around the world can compete on the same board, using the same clock, making as many Snaps as possible.

You can now download Snap Attack for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The game is only compatible with devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up. On a side note, Snap Attack will be launched on iOS and Android as well, but later in the summer.
