The Bing Tags option has been around for a while, letting users tag themselves or friends on sites displayed on the search results page, so Microsoft has worked a lot lately to improve it with some new options.

Starting today, you can make your tags visible to a broader audience, as the company explains in a blog post.

“Now simply select the pages you want to tag and those pages will show up in search results. Whether it’s your Twitter profile, blog, or that art portfolio you’re proud of – Bing Tags lets you highlight the pages that best represent you,” Microsoft explained.

Even though Bing Tags could raise some privacy concerns, the Redmond-based firm says users have full control over the content displayed on Bing. Tagged users won’t be shown outside the network until they agree with it.
