Microsoft has just announced the launch of Tentacles: Enter the Mind game on Windows 8.1, thus bringing another exciting title on its very own modern platform.

The purpose of the game is to collect as many items as possible and gain new powers and abilities in order to achieve a better score and compete against friends online.

Thanks to Xbox support, the game comes with several achievements and online leaderboards, as well as with options to play online or offline, save the game to the cloud to play across multiple devices and use either touch or mouse to complete new levels.

“Play as the adorable and fantastical creature, Lemmy, and tap or click your way through the layers of Dr. Phluff’s outrageously bizarre mind. Dispatch enemies, collect eyes and secret eggs, gain powers and abilities, and play against your friends. And when you get to the end: survive as long as you can. The Doctor has gone mad from the creatures and only you and Lemmy can save him!” the game description reads.

As you could easily guess, it can be played on both desktops and tablets, and Windows RT support is also being offered, which is just the best news for those who purchased a Microsoft Surface RT.

As expected, Microsoft offers the game free of charge, so go ahead and download Tentacles: Enter the Mind for Windows 8.1 to give it a try right now.
