Microsoft has recently rolled out a new version of its PerfView performance analysis tool, bringing new visualizations and tracking modes for WCF and other server code, as the release notes read.

PerfView is a helpful software solution that could help system administrators keep track of the computer performance and detect any memory or processor issues.

According to Microsoft’s own software description, the same tool is also being used by some of its employees inside the Redmond campus to monitor RAM and CPU performance on a number of servers.

Of course, the application is available with a freeware license and works flawlessly on most Windows versions, including Vista and 7. We’ve tried it on Windows 8 too and everything seems to work just fine as well.
