Microsoft has just announced a new program supposed to help the company make Office 365 available to a number of nonprofits across the world.

Part of the software donation program, the so-called Office 365 for Nonprofits is an effort aimed at nonprofits and nongovernmental organizations in a total of 41 countries, with the number of grow to 90 by July 2014.

Basically, Microsoft is planning to offer access to Office 365’s productivity tools to more organizations around the world and the software donation program is the right way to do this.

“Nonprofits operate in the same way as any other organization or business; however, many lack the resources to implement the latest technology. The donation of Office 365 allows them to be more effective and efficient in the work they do,” said Jean-Philippe Courtois, president, Microsoft International.
