If you’re in the market for a brand new mouse, you’re in luck because Microsoft has just announced a new version of its signature Arc Touch unit.

Already available via Microsoft’s online store and at other retailers, the Arc Touch Mouse with Bluetooth, the new version, comes with exactly the same features as the original model, but adds support for Bluetooth 4.0 low-energy technology to replace the old USB nano transceiver.

“It has the touch strip in the center so you can swipe, tap and flick to navigate your screen with a single finger. It has BlueTrack technology for use on virtually any surface. And you can flatten the mouse to turn it off,” Microsoft says in a statement.

“Click. Tap. Flick. Control. Quickly brush up or down with your finger to flick into hyperfast vertical scrolling for smooth, intuitive navigation. Scroll slowly with a gentle swipe or quickly with a flick of the finger, then tap to stop.”

The device can be yours right now for $69.95 (€54), and although it says that it requires Windows 9, 8.1, RT, or RT 8.1, it also works with Windows 7 really well. The mouse works with 2 AAA alkaline batteries and the first pack is included when you purchase it.
