Microsoft yesterday rolled out the final version of Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 and, because it’s very important to prove everyone that its new build is very fast, it also released a Minesweeper game and benchmark to test browser performance.

While it wouldn’t be too surprising to see Internet Explorer getting the highest score each time, the Minesweeper HMLT5 game is built for hardware accelerated browsers, such as IE10 on both Windows 7 and Windows 8.

“Minesweeper’s performance mode measures how long it takes the browser to solve the minesweeper board, so you can test your browser performance with different minesweeper boards with different complexity,” the company said in a blog post.
