It’s a well-known fact that Microsoft is working to expand the affordable lineup of Windows Phone devices, so today the company has introduced another model in this regard, that also spawns a completely new series in its portfolio.

Lumia 435, the first member of the 4xx range, will be available in two different versions, single SIM and dual SIM, both of which will hit the market in February.

Microsoft says that the Lumia 435 is going to be the most affordable Windows Phone device ever, as buyers across Europe, APAC and IMEA will be allowed to purchase it for no more than €69 ($75).

Lumia 435’s technical specs aren’t really impressive, but they do make for a really decent phone that would allow you to perform basic tasks such as browsing the web, Facebook, video chatting with friends, and shooting a few photos every now and then.

For instance, the 435 will be powered by a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon dual-core processor and will also feature 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. MicroSD cards up to 128 GB are also supported. A 2-megapixel camera will be placed on the back for basic shooting, while a VGA front unit will be used for chatting and selfies.

The device features a 4-inch display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels, as well as a 1560 mAh battery that should get you throughout the day with little effort.

“The Lumia 435 is our most affordable Lumia smartphone yet. It’s a perfect choice for those who wish to upgrade to a smartphone or for anyone to have as a secondary phone,” Microsoft said.

According to Microsoft, the phone will go on sale in the aforementioned market in February this year, but pricing could vary by market and operator.
