14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just announced a brand new mouse that’s specifically aimed at Halo fans who’d like to personalize their gaming gear with a unique device.
The Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 “Halo Limited Edition: The Master Chief” features a highly detailed Master Chief in his two-tone green MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor and iconic gold-hued visor, as Microsoft says in its public announcement, and comes with the same design we’ve already seen on the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500.
Of course, you get the same nano transceiver, 2.4 GHz wireless technology, and a two-color battery light indicator with BlueTrack technology to be able to use the mouse on pretty much every surface.
“You'll appreciate how this wireless mobile mouse comfortably fits your hand and your mobile lifestyle. Use it just about anywhere, even on a rough park bench or your living room carpet, relying on Microsoft BlueTrack Technology,” Microsoft says in the description of the mouse.
“When it’s time to pack up and go, you’ll hardly notice the tiny transceiver. Keep it plugged into the USB port, or stow it in the bottom of the mouse for travel. Keep using your mouse for up to eight months with a single battery, and rely on the power indicator to tell you when it’s time to replace it.”
Probably the most awesome thing about this mouse is its battery life, which can last up to 8 months without having to change batteries. Of course, do not expect it to last that long, but at least it’ll definitely work for a few more months, which is pretty decent for someone who uses the mouse on a daily basis for gaming and working on a computer.
The mouse only works with Windows 7, Windows 8, and 8.1, but with some tweaks, you can obviously get it up and running on other platforms too.
The device is already available for pre-order from GameStop, but the first units are going to be shipped in October. The estimated retail price is $29.95 (€22.5).
