Last week, Microsoft has launched its first ad campaign for Bing in Australia, without announcing it via the official channels, as one would have expected.

This is the same “Bing is for doing” campaign that the Redmond-based software giant kicked off in the United States back in January, but specifically tailored for Australia.

The campaign is meant to inspire people to “get things done,” and it tries to achieve this through presenting to them a series of young Australians who already managed to reach their goals.

The campaign includes a set of four video ads and documentaries. The four people in these ads are Madison Stewart, a shark-passionate diver, Andy Milenkovic, a mountain boarder, Bethany Simons, a writer and actor, and Toby Finlayson from Desert Pea Media.

You can have a look at snippets from the four stories through the videos embedded at the bottom of this article, all part of Microsoft’s “Bing is for doing” campaign for Australia.

“Bing is designed for people who are hyper-mobile, hyper-social and expect to be able to quickly find what they need online and go. Bing helps them spend less time sitting and searching and more time out in the world doing,” the Redmond-based software company notes on the campaign’s special website.

“We've found some people from across Australia who are doing cool things, whether it be for the good of others or following their own passion and ambitions, and documented their stories here.”

Lately, Microsoft has been focused on enhancing the experience that users in Australia receive when accessing its service, and Bing Australia’s managing director states that the product has been made ready for prime time.

However, a recent post on Istartedsomething claims that the experience that Bing can deliver to users in the US is far ahead from what Australians enjoy at the moment. Apparently, no changes in what Bing brings down under have been performed lately.
