As Softpedia reported yesterday, one of the updates released by Microsoft on Patch Tuesday leads to unexpected BSODs on a number of Windows 7 machines, so users have no other option than to uninstall the provided bulletin.

The KB2859537 update is reportedly affecting lots of Windows 7 machines and users have turned to Microsoft Community to express their frustration regarding the tech giant’s decision to keep delivering the patch, even though so many reports confirm the issue.

This time, the complaints reveal that the buggy patch is also breaking down some games on Windows 7, including RIFT and Defiance, so in case you’re experiencing problems with some games, make sure you remove the update as soon as possible.

RIFT players have already received a patch today, so simply install it if the game crashes on startup on either Windows Vista or 7.

As for the update itself, Microsoft has acknowledged the problem and said that it’s looking into the matter right now, so an official patch should be released anytime soon.
