The Microsoft and Google feud in advertising territory is about to hit a new turn. The Redmond Company has mustered new forces and is yet again ready to jump at Google's jugular. In this context, Microsoft is getting ready to introduce adCenter Beta. "Start your search advertising with Microsoft today. Clicks. Leads. Sales. We're here to help you grow your business. Get started with $5. Pay only when someone clicks your ad," reads the invitation posted on the Microsoft adCenter Beta website.

Today, in New York, Microsoft will showcase the next generation version of the adCenter online advertising platform. The original variant of adCenter has been around now from May 2006, and Microsoft feels the need to breathe new life into the online ad platform whose results are lagging far behind Google's advertising performances.

"If you happen to be in New York for Search Engine Strategies (SES) this week, please be sure to stop by the adCenter sponsored session tomorrow to hear adCenter community team member Molly Sugarman speak about our community outreach programs. Our adCenter colleagues James Colborn and ZhaoHui Tang will also be presenting about adCenter Labs and the future of adCenter," revealed a member of the adCenter Community Team.

James Colborn, adCenter product manager made it clear that the current version of adCenter will not survive into May 2007, and that it will be replaced by the new Beta by the end of April. adCenter Product Manager Natala Menezes explained that the beta version will introduce new features, functionality and additional capabilities as the entire mid level of the platform has been overhauled. It still remains to be seen if the new adCenter Beta will take its toll on Google.
