Microsoft yesterday released a new batch of updates for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows RT, but none of them was actually supposed to fix the Wi-Fi bug that’s affecting lots of Surface RT tablets.

As you may know from our previous reports, some Surface RT users are complaining about limited or no Wi-Fi connectivity at all, saying that their tablets cannot be used to browse the Internet due to this bug.

While Microsoft promised several times to fix the issue, the company is yet to release a workaround for the problem, so it still affects plenty of tablets out there.

A new patch is expected to be released on next month’s Patch Tuesday, together with some separate updates supposed to fix bugs in the Surface Pro tablet, the newly released device that runs the full version of Windows 8.
