AT&T Live Meeting is a hosted webconferencing service designed to make available the next-generation IP services to enterprises. Real time communications and collaboration via AT&T Live Meeting will be done through a computer, an Internet connection and a telephone. At the basis of the next-generation Internet Protocol communication services from AT&T is the Microsoft Connected Services Framework.

"The introduction of AT&T Live Meeting is a milestone in our global alliance with Microsoft," said Shawn Conroy, vice president of Product Management, AT&T. "It provides an additional choice for our customers in webconferencing options and allows users to communicate in a media-rich, real-time manner while strengthening their collaboration and productivity."

AT&T Live Meeting will enable users to participate in conferences powered by Microsoft Live Meeting, while delivering SSL encryption, and a secure data transmission, 128-bit encryption and strong password policies and SAS70-certified data centers.

AT&T Live Meeting is a solution built on Microsoft Office Live Meeting and AT&T conferencing technology. Customers will be able to leverage both VoIP and traditional TDM-based conferencing services, while having access to a whole range of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint Server and Visio.

"The launch of the new AT&T Live Meeting service marks a key step forward in our alliance to drive new converged IP-based services to businesses," said Michael O'Hara, general manager for the Communications Sector at Microsoft.
