Today Microsoft has rolled out security updates for Windows 10 build 10122, but in addition to this, the company is also working to bring out a new version of the operating system for insiders.

Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, has confirmed in a short tweet that Windows 10 build 10130 is now being internally tested by the company's employees, but he has refused to provide any release dates because, as always, development could take longer than expected and the provided date could be missed.

Windows 10 build 10130 is expected to bring insiders the features we've seen in the leaked build 10125, including the new icons that help Microsoft finally address one of the most criticized features of the new Windows 10 operating system.

Build 10125 is said to be exclusively addressed to partners, so as far as insiders are concerned, Microsoft is expected to jump directly to 10130 in the coming weeks or so.

No ISOs for Windows 10 build 10122

Gabriel Aul has also confirmed that Microsoft won't release any new ISOs of Windows 10 build 10122 because it came across a bug that breaks the Start menu when users from Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 use the direct upgrade path.

This means that Microsoft won't release this build to slow ring users either, so only those who are enrolled in the fast ring can update to version 10122 through Windows Update.

“We won't be pushing 10122 to slow or ISOs. There is a blocking bug on 7/8.x upgrades that breaks Start,” Aul confirmed.

As far as the new version of Windows 10 is concerned, Microsoft is expected to release it either this week or the next one, especially because internal testing has already started. Build 10130 is expected to be shipped to both slow and fast ring users, so new ISOs are also likely to be provided for those who want to do a clean install.
