For the launch of Internet Explore 9 in India, Microsoft India has got some of the most popular websites as its partners, like Rediff India, Zapak Games, Indiatimes and NDTV.com.

Microsoft Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. announced today the availability of Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) Beta for its Indian customers, and that it has partnered with some of the most popular websites to fully exploit the capabilities of the new browser.

At a global scale, Microsoft has established over 70 partnerships with the best websites and top brands, who have created new experiences to test the abilities of IE9.

These partners, which includes Amazon, eBay, Facebook, IMDB, LinkedIn and Twitter, also reach over 800 million visitors – nearly two thirds of the active people on the Internet.

The Managing Director - Consumer & Online, of Microsoft India, Hemant Sachdev said that “consumers today use the Web as a source of entertainment, education, information and as a platform for communication.

“Keeping all these consumer needs in mind, we have made unprecedented investments to develop our latest browser, Internet Explorer 9 which has been made site-centric rather than browser centric.

“Clean and minimalistic looking, IE9 redefines browsing as we know it today, and deliver a whole new, beautiful online experience.”

Partners worldwide are most excited about the IE9 launch, and as Sumit Rajwade, Vice President - Technology, Rediff.com India Ltd., they are happy about this association.

“Our association with Microsoft goes way back when IE 4.0 was launched with DHTML capabilities all the way to IE8 last year.
