Microsoft has reportedly started talks with British resellers to expand local availability of its Surface tablet and make the Pro model available to corporate customers.

The Channel writes that Microsoft is planning to make the device available at Misco, Insight, Computacenter, SCC, and Kelway, but no agreement has been reached until now.

According to the report, high-profile US executives are leading the talks as Microsoft is yet to appoint a director to be in charge of the British Surface division.

At the same time, sources familiar with the matter reveal that Microsoft is planning to step into the British education sector, just like it did in the United States, and sign deals with local schools and educational institutes.

Microsoft is yet to comment on this report, but given the recent announcements, there’s definitely some truth behind these words.
