Phil Spencer, current head of Xbox, has just started the Microsoft hype machine for this year's edition of the E3 conference, with a series of revealing tweets stating that the company will announce "a couple of things" in Los Angeles.

Spencer has sneaked a couple of teaser remarks in a series of posts responding to questions directed to him via Twitter, promising that Redmond has a lot in store for the upcoming E3 expo, both new IP and sequels, even planning to announce some new partnerships with third-party development studios.

"Yes, we'll announce both new IP and new sequels at E3," Spencer has tweeted to the sound of the revving hype machine. Additionally, he has informed that Microsoft will announce some new studios that it's working with.

He has also reassured Xbox fans that the main focus at E3 will be on hardcore gamers, while also revealing that "May should be a good month for news," and that Microsoft also plans to launch new games in Japan.

Well, we already know that 343 Industries was hiring new people, presumably to work on Halo 5 and steal the show with the reveal at E3, during June.

Furthermore, Gears of War developer Black Tusk is also hiring for the development of the next installment in the franchise, on the Xbox One, so it should turn out to be a pretty hot summer.
