The power regulation controlling software for Clover Trail isn't being delivered

We suppose that a lot can happen until October 26, even for most, if not all, loose ends on the Windows 8 tablet market to be tied up, but that seems less likely by the day.

Sure, Intel and its partners announced Clover Trail-powered tablets last week, and the fuss caused by the rumors of a buggy Windows 8 operating system has mostly died down.

There are new concerns now though, a report claims: Intel has missed the allotted time for developing power regulation controlling software for the new Atom Z2760 CPU.

The delayed delivery has caused problems in tablet development. Even Microsoft has decided to hold off on approving the slates themselves.

Companies may have trouble selling their tablets before Christmas at this rate, not exactly the best impression they could have given of Windows 8 and its device coverage.
