The tech giant Microsoft has once again come under fire

Things are not going very well for Microsoft, especially after the company announced its quarterly earnings and experienced a 11.5 percent drop in stock value.

This time, Jive CEO Tony Zingale has called Microsoft an innovation killer, especially because the company has purchased business social networking service Yammer without any long-term plan.

"We were celebrating because Microsoft's the place innovation goes to die. It is not the place it goes to thrive,” Zingale was quoted as saying by SeattlePi.

At the same time, CEO Steve Ballmer is also having a hard time, as ValueAct Capital, the firm that has recently purchased a large share in the company, is pursuing a seat in the board. Word is that ValueAct might seek to replace Ballmer, as its founder doesn't have the same long-term vision as Microsoft's big honcho.
