Microsoft Hardware has evolved in order to better cater to business customers in addition to consumers.

The Redmond company announced the launch of Microsoft Hardware for Business line which streamlines peripherals acquisition.

Essentially, the same Microsoft webcams, headsets, mice, and keyboards available for consumers are packaged into new offerings tailored to volume purchasing scenarios.

One advantage cited by the software giant for corporate customers involves affordability of Microsoft Hardware for Business offerings in comparison to the retail prices of the same products.

“The line includes a range of Microsoft Hardware products packaged for volume purchasing by businesses, such as the recently launched LifeCam Studio for high-definition video calls, saving businesses money and time on travel, and the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000, providing users with ultimate comfort,” Microsoft explained.

“With devices that offer maximum comfort and productivity, the line of Hardware for Business products lets employees get the job done — whether at the office, from home or on the go.”

Microsoft Hardware for Business makes will offer packaged peripherals in increments of five, the Redmond company revealed.

However, each Microsoft Hardware product will be treated individually in terms of packaging and licensing as well as in regards to customer support.

“The line makes it easy for IT professionals, business owners and distributors to purchase Microsoft Hardware devices for themselves and their customers,” the company added.

“Because Microsoft has been a leader in PC peripherals for close to three decades, purchasing Microsoft Hardware means businesses can feel confident that their employees have the tools needed to stay productive with comfortable keyboards and mice and with webcams and headsets that work with leading communications software, all at a great price.”

The company did not offer details on just how much more advantageous would be for customers to buy peripherals through Microsoft Hardware for Business as opposite to through the retail channel.
