The Surface Pro 3 is now officially available in stores across the United States and Canada, but if you still find the device too expensive for your budget, Microsoft is giving you the chance to win a tablet by simply using Skype.

Basically, all you need to do is to install Skype, register for the contest and make three or more calls to mobiles or landlines until June 30. You'll automatically become eligible for the Surface Pro 3 prize, the company said.

“Celebrate our lowest pay as you go calling rates and win a Surface Pro 3. How? Easy, make even more calls to your friends and family! Every week, between June 2 and 30, 2014, if you make three or more calls to mobiles or landlines from your Skype account*, you’ll be entered into a prize draw,” it said.

The Surface Pro 3 comes with a 12-inch screen and features multiple CPU configurations, starting with an Intel Core i3 and ending with an i7. There are two memory options, namely 4 GB and 8 GB, and several storage versions ranging in between 64 GB and 512 GB.

Pricing is obviously the main setback, as the top-of-the-range Surface Pro 3 model can be yours for no less than $1,949 (€1,425 euros) according to the pricing announced for the American market.
