14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft is gearing up for making the Windows Phone platform more competitive in the Enterprise area too, while being focused on bringing it in line with rival mobile operating systems out there in terms of hardware support.
Windows Phone will soon pack features and capabilities meant to make it better suited for use in the Enterprise area, and Microsoft is looking for software engineers to help it achieve that.
In a recent job post on the company's website, one can learn about Microsoft's am at making the mobile OS a great option for all kind of users.
Whether it comes to people looking for a device to manage their personal lives, or for a handset that can easily keep them productive at the enterprise and operator levels, they should all come to find Windows Phone a great option.
“We are in Windows Phone Manageability and Update Experience team. Our goal is to ensure our devices are manageable at the personal, enterprise and operator levels, enabling powerful security features, across applications and device settings,” Microsoft notes.
“Our mission is to provide the user the most trouble free and seamless experience, while empowering the enterprise and operator IT professionals to securely and remotely manage the devices on their networks.”
At the moment, the platform lacks many of the Enterprise features that some users would have liked it to include, although it still has to offer powerful Office integration and more.
However, things should change in future Windows Phone releases, as the Redmond-based software giant is working on addressing these shortcomings of the OS as well.
“Broad scope and impact, deep technologies, engineering challenges, partner interfacing with Operators, OEMs and MS internal partners, and fast pace delivery are all part of our charter,” the said job listing continues.
“In the agile development environment, you will be working with PM/architect/Dev and partner teams to deliver the critical stack of the update solution, to solve problems in the mobile OS, and interacting with the PC and the Cloud.”
