Microsoft is again trying to kill two birds with one stone. First of all, the company wants to show software developers in Bangalore, India how easy it actually is to create Windows 8 apps.

Secondly, it plans to set a new Guinness World Record for the biggest number of developers in one place at the same time. It sounds geekish, but AppFest is expected to attract more than 400 developers that will code for 18 hours in a row.

They will be allowed to create apps for the 20 software categories available in Windows Store and, since there’s no registration fee, anybody can attend.

Windows 8 AppFest will kick off today, so if you wish to find out all details, have a look on this Microsoft page.
