Microsoft has recently announced that a new pre-order program was available for Surface Pro consumers who want to purchase the 128GB model, but the company has also provided more details on the early uptake of the tablet.

The Redmond-based software giant says the demand is “exciting,” so it’s no wonder that the 128GB is still out of stock one week after the public release.

“We are excited by the demand for Surface Pro and continue to work around the clock to meet that demand with production and get new inventory into retail. We recommend you call your local store ahead of time prior to traveling,” Microsoft said in a statement.

Those who wish to get a Surface Pro right now have no other option than to choose the 64GB model that’s currently available at Microsoft Stores and at partners across the US and Canada.
