Microsoft might be one of the companies that really care about environmental protection, but that doesn't necessarily mean that everyone agrees with its way of doing business.

The company's headquarters in Cambridge, UK is ruining the nights of most residents in the area, as Microsoft employees apparently forget to turn lights off at night.

“It is lit up like Disney World,” some local residents told Cambridge News, explaining that Microsoft never turned off the lights since it opened the office.

While Microsoft claims that lights are always on been because some employees also choose to work during the night, residents complain about the excessive light and explain that they can rarely see someone in the building at night.

“They never turn them off. All of the office lights are constantly on beaming away and I’ve never seen anybody in there. It’s not just about getting to sleep. People are trying to enjoy their homes in the evening and they can’t because of this light,” a resident told the source.

Microsoft says the building is equipped with motion sensors, so in case the lights are indeed turned on, it's probably because cleaners and security staff are inside the offices.
