Soon, Nokia will bring to the market its first Windows Phone devices, and many enthusiasts can hardly wait to see what the company has in store for them.

Apparently, the first wave of Windows Phones from Nokia might not be breath taking, though they might be launched as accessible handsets, so as to attract more users on their side.

Previously, Nokia did say that they will bring to shelves Windows Phone devices before the end of the ongoing year, but that they will be targeting the high-end of the market only with those handsets set to land on shelves next year.

Before 2011 is over, Nokia will bring to shelves appealing devices, but they will leave room for improvements, so that users will be able to purchase the new phones without breaking the back.

Joe Marini, principal program manager for web platform on Windows Phone, has just shared a few details on one of the upcoming Windows Phone devices from Nokia, and said that it is a slick device, though not as high-end as one might have expected.

“I just got a chance to try out one of the slickest looking #Nokia phones I have ever seen. Soon, you will too! #wp7” he stated on Twitter.

Clearly, he was referring to one of the upcoming Windows Phone devices from Nokia, though the overall impression the device offered was not the top one. When asked to give the handset a mark, he rated it only at an 8.

“Overall I would say an 8. Solid feel, good camera, responsive UI, and nice little touches on the body construction,” he explained.

“Yeah, the camera was good, but I didn’t have optimal lighting. I’d like a larger screen too,” Joe Marini continued.

That is pretty straightforward, one should agree. What might be the first Nokia device to run under Windows Phone won't be a top-of-the-line handset, though it remains to be seen what price tag Nokia will actually slap on it.

Hopefully, it will be an affordable device, just as expected. In the end, Nokia did promise that they will bring Windows Phone to more price points. (via)
