14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has made the fourth service pack for Dynamics GP 10.0 available for download. As of August 24th, 2009, the Redmond company is allowing existing version 10.0 of Dynamics GP customers to access the finalized version of SP4. The software giant has managed to outdo itself when it comes down to the delivery of Dynamics GP 10.0 SP4. The service pack was initially scheduled to hit a tad later this month, and the August 24 release means that Microsoft actually beat its own deadline for the official release (via Mariano Gomez, MVP Maximum Global Business, LLC).
Existing Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 customers will find that the Redmond company has dealt with a number of issues that affected previous releases of the business management solution. At the same time, SP4 is designed to add new features to Dynamics GP 10.0. International ACH Transactions (IAT) as well as the evolution of Extender forms and detail forms are now available via Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Service Pack 4.
Following the integration of the latest service pack, the Dynamics dictionary build number will be bumped all the way to 10.00.1368. Microsoft informed that a problem that survived into the final version of Dynamics GP 10.0 SP4 would cause the OLEPath in the Dex.ini to change from a custom location to the default local path. Customers that have modified the OLE Notes default path need to make sure to check Dex.ini for every client workstation.
There are two locations from which Microsoft Dynamics 10.0 GP is available for download: Customer Source and Partner Source. Gomez enumerated the enhancements to Extender Forms and detail forms.
