Microsoft is gearing up to make Dynamics CRM Online available internationally in the second half of this year. At Convergence 2010, Microsoft Business Division President Stephen Elop and Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Business Solutions Kirill Tatarinov announced that, come H2 2010, customers in no less than 32 markets around the world would be able to start taking advantage of Dynamics CRM Online. The Redmond company did not deliver the specific global availability deadline for Dynamics CRM Online, but it underlined that customers worldwide could start leveraging the customer relationship management service as of April 26th.

“In addition to the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, those markets are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom,” Brian Galicia, technology specialist manager for the Software + Service offering of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, revealed.

An important first step toward internationalizing Dynamics CRM Online will be made starting with May 2010. Existing users of the Cloud Dynamics CRM offerings will be able to enjoy new features as early as next month, with Microsoft planning a free refresh for the service. The May 2010 service update for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online will bring to the table additional language support, new Portal accelerators, fresh developer tools and resources and Dynamics GP and Dynamics CRM integration.

In preparation for global availability, North American Dynamics CRM Online customers will be able to use multilingual capabilities introduced with the upcoming service update. The refresh will expand the language options for customers requiring French, Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese. At the same time, the May 2010 Dynamics CRM Online service update will offer a number of new Portal accelerators available to customers, including Event Management, eService and Partner Relationship Management.

According to Microsoft, service update also has something for developers building on top of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including an updated Software Development Kit (SDK), but also Cloud developer tools. Enhancements to dev tools will make it possible for customers to better bridge Dynamics CRM Online with both on-demand and on-premises applications, but also with Windows Azure services.

“A new built-in integration framework for Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM enables customers to easily connect the two systems to help provide business insight and improve user productivity across financials, supply chain, and sales and service. The integration is supported with both on-premises and cloud versions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 and Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0,” Galicia added.
