Microsoft Donates $245,000 (€185,000) Worth of Software to WVU

Microsoft has just confirmed that West Virginia University’s College of Business and Economics would receive accounting software worth more than $245,000 (€185,000) as part of its own Dynamics Academic Alliance program.

In addition, the Redmond-based technology giant would also provide annual support for the donated software, the company said in a press statement.

“This generous gift from Microsoft will be very beneficial for the continued advancement of B&E’s accounting program,” said Dr. Jose Sartarelli, Milan Puskar dean. “Our business school has a great reputation in the area of accounting, and this software will be instrumental in the continued high level of preparation for students in the program.”

The Microsoft Dynamics Academic Alliance program is a global campaign that provides educational institutions across the world with access to Microsoft software for teaching or research goals.
