14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft Bahrain has organized a new App Academy workshop for Windows 8.1 developers, explaining that the company sees increasing interest in Modern apps.
The “Building your first App on Windows 8.1” workshop was specifically created to help developers create Modern apps capable of running on Microsoft’s new platforms, including mobile phones, tablets, and desktops and is part of a broader initiative supposed to attract software makers from all over the world.
“We are delighted by the enthusiasm and the number of participants who attended the two-day intensive hands-on workshop using Microsoft Windows 8.1 platform and development tools,” said Tareq Hijazi, regional country manager for Microsoft Bahrain and Oman, according to Gulf Weekly.
The success of Windows Store apps is also improving, with October 2013 specs showing that Microsoft has recorded more than 1.7 million downloads every single day last month.
At this point, there are more than 125,000 Windows Store apps available for download, as more high-quality tools are being released every month. The problem, however, is that more spam makes it to the Store, which means that it’s something very hard to find the app you need.
