The Redmond-based technology titan Microsoft has always been considered one of the best workplaces in the entire world, but a new study confirms that the software company tops Sweden’s own ranking too.

A survey conducted by consultancy group Great Place to Work and published by The Local reveals that Microsoft is the best company to work for in Sweden, along with another software firm called IFS and fast-food king McDonald’s.

“The purpose with the Sweden's Best Workplaces survey is to draw attention to the organisations which work actively for an exemplary workplace culture,” Great Place to Work CEO Maria Grudén was quoted as saying by the source.

Worldwide, on the other hand, Microsoft is only the 75th best company to work for, according to a Fortune survey, while Google still holds the leading position. The only good news for Microsoft is that rivals Apple and Facebook do not make the top 100.
