The Redmond-based technology company has just kicked off a new contest aimed at teachers and educators from all over the world who use Skype on a regular basis.

Microsoft is offering $10,000 (€7,700) in Microsoft products and a Skype call with Santa Claus to one of the teachers who enter the contest on Twitter.

“Tis the season for giving, and during the holidays this year, Skype will be playing the role of old Saint Nick. To enter, tweet telling us how you'd use the technology in your classroom if you won. Your tweet must include the ‘#SkypeSanta’ hashtag in order to count,” Microsoft explained.

The contest will end on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 11:59 PM PT, with Microsoft to select three different winners “based on the creativity of their entries.” The three lucky winners will be contacted via the direct message option on Twitter.
