Microsoft has already launched software and firmware updates for both the Surface RT and the Surface Pro, but many users are still struggling to deal with a couple of bugs affecting their tablets.

The Redmond-based technology giant promised in a new blog post that more updates for the two devices would be issued in the coming months, including some patches that would address the Wi-Fi connectivity bug reported on both the Pro and the RT.

“When we started working on Surface we put the customer experience at the heart of all that we did. That is still true today and as such, over the coming months, you’ll continue to see updates and improvements made available to both Surface RT and Surface Pro customer,” the Surface team said in a post.

“This includes further updates to the wireless system to reduce the instances where Limited Connectivity is reported as well as an update to the Surface Pen driver to enable pressure functionality in Adobe Photoshop with Surface Pro.”

While the company hasn’t mentioned any clear details on the upcoming updates, Microsoft might release a new fix to address the Wi-Fi connectivity issue on the next Patch Tuesday, along with new stability and performance improvements.

Unsurprisingly, Microsoft seems to get ready for the debut of Windows Blue, a major Windows 8 overhaul that’s expected to bundle dedicated versions for tablets and mobile phones.

While the company has only confirmed the “Blue” designation, no other information has been provided. Still, according to sources familiar with the matter, Windows Blue could be released in August, while the first public beta aimed at desktop computers could surface in June.

An early build of Blue got leaked last weekend and, even though many things are very likely to change before the final version comes out, it still provides us with a closer look at the improvements it could bring.
