Publisher and hardware maker Microsoft has confirmed the existence of a Special Edition 250 GB hard drive version of the Kinect Xbox 360 bundle, which is set to be launched on November 4 in the United States and later in the month in the rest of the world.

The bundle has long been rumored to exist and includes the home console from Microsoft, with a quite welcoming 250 GB hard drive, the Kinect motion tracking system that tracks body movement and turns it into movement and a copy of Kinect Adventures, a mini game collection that is created specifically to showcase the strengths of the new peripheral.

The cost for the entire package will be 399 dollars, a good deal considering that at the moment the recommended price for a 250 GB Xbox 360 in the United States is set at 299 dollars.

Kinect will also be part of a bundle that includes the version of the Xbox 360 that has just 4 GB of internal flash memory and Kinectimals.

Those who already have the console and only want the Kinect system will need to pay 149 dollars.

Microsoft has also confirmed that in Japan Kinect will arrive on November 20, with the price set at 14,800 Yen, which is the equivalent of about 176 dollars, and the two bundles also offered.

The biggest competition for Kinect and Microsoft comes from Sony's PlayStation Move system, which includes an actual physical controller.

Sony has announced the existence of a bundle package that includes a PS3 with 320 GB of hard drive, the PlayStation Eye camera, the wand motion controller and the video game Sports Champions.

Both companies hope that putting out bundles that include their new motion tracking system will attract those who game on the Wii at the moment and those who are interested in trying out the new experiences.

Microsoft and Sony need Kinect and Move to be successful on launch in order to convince game developers that there are enough motion control interested gamers to develop new titles for.
