One of the main focus areas for Microsoft these days is cloud computing, and it appears that the company is right to invest in it.

The entire world it moving towards cloud computing, and the adoption should increase significantly in the coming years, some of the latest analyst reports on the matter suggest.

A commissioned research from analyst firm IDC shows that cloud computing will create a large number of new jobs all around the world by 2015. Somewhere around 14 million of them should appear, the report says.

Additionally, the company’s research found that revenues from cloud innovation might top $1.1 trillion per year by 2015, which will result in significant organizational reinvestment and job growth.

“For most organizations, cloud computing should be a no-brainer, given its ability to increase IT innovation and flexibility, lower capital costs, and help generate revenues that are multiples of spending,” said John F. Gantz, chief research officer and senior vice president at IDC.

“A common misperception is cloud computing is a job eliminator, but in truth it will be a job creator — a major one.

“And job growth will occur across continents and throughout organizations of all sizes because emerging markets, small cities and small businesses have the same access to cloud benefits as large enterprises or developed nations.”

Microsoft is one of the companies committed to drive the growth of cloud computing. In fact, the company is already offering a series of solutions in the area.

At the same time, Microsoft has full public and private cloud solutions available for its customers, as well as for organizations of all sizes.

Customers will benefit from a variety of features when choosing cloud computing, such as connecting and sharing capabilities for consumers, lower costs, or new technical opportunities for organizations.

“The cloud is going to have a huge impact on job creation,” says Susan Hauser, Microsoft corporate vice president of the Worldwide Enterprise and Partner Group. “It’s a transformative technology that will drive down costs, spur innovation, and open up new jobs and skillsets across the globe.”
