Game developer Rubicon attacked Microsoft and its Windows RT platform earlier today after the company had earned only $80 (€64) with its Windows Store app.

Rubicon said that it invested more than $16,000 (€12,400) to port the app for Windows RT and Microsoft hasn’t even promoted the game in its Windows Store to give it a chance to boost sales.

The company, however, has just removed the blog post and said that Microsoft “have graciously decided to work with us to iron out the problems and get us past this incident.”

“With a sense of fair play, I’m putting my grumpiness on hiatus and deleting the juicy bits. Which was all of it, sorry,” Rubicon explained.

Furthermore, the company confirmed in a comment that it’s working on a trial version of its Windows RT Great Big War Game version, so users will be allowed to take the game for a spin at no cost.

Three reasons why Rubicon did not make a successful game for Windows RT.

1) They only ported it to RT and not Windows 8. Most people like me, like having the ability to play on the go (My Surface RT) and then come back home to play on my desktop (Windows 8). That way, I get all my stats on the go and back at home. This is also why it is so much harder to find their games on Windows 8. You need a Surface or an RT device to search for their game.

2) There are no trial versions for their game. People tend to be cheap on apps, and they usually don't like to dish out $2.99 for an app that they can't try. Put a "Try" on your app, and you will see more people trying it, then buying it - especially at $2.99, you would definitely want to buy after you try.

3) What do they expect? RT is a new version of windows. They should have ported it to Windows 8 full version before they ported it to RT. Their game looks very good for both desktop and tablet. But you want to aim for the bigger audience first, and that is Windows 8 desktop users. Going full RT was a fool's mistake.

100% agree with u. i don't have any RT tablet, but they should be more realistic. the whole win8 thing is yet to impress let alone win rt.
