Selling isn't the only option for Take-Two, yet it is said that Microsoft is already interested

Take-Two: "All right, who's next for a piece?" Microsoft: I'll 'Take-Two' please.

You remember Take-Two's announcement of intending to sell out right? Well, it is said that Microsoft is interested in buying. Rather fast huh? But what started this rumor anyway? A sort of a joke really, as NeoGaf posted an article saying "by means of an inside source at Rockstar Vancouver" that the "buzz in the hallway" was that Microsoft might be "putting in a bid or expressed interest."

As Microsoft doesn't "comment on rumors," we can't know, but this information alone can't count. Even as a rumor. Why, for all we know, Electronic Arts could be the buyer, or who knows, McDonald's even. "Might have put in a bid or expressed interest" isn't exactly breaking news you know. Anyway, there is one small detail that some of you may have slipped through the synapses and that is that selling the company isn't the only option for Take-Two.

They said they'd probably sell but that's just one option out of many others. It doesn't necessarily mean that they're selling, period. And if we are to think about it a little, not saying: "OK, start bidding 'cause we're selling for sure" should destroy the Microsoft wanting to buy rumor. Microsoft not only doesn't comment on rumors, but a big company such as them wouldn't just say: "Hey if you guys are selling your company and all, put us on the list for a little piece. Or what the hell, give us the whole lot." They're not the Mafia.

I'm not implying anything here. Maybe Microsoft does intend to buy in on Take-Two and they don't exactly know how to "express their feelings," and maybe there are others that have already talked to Take-Two about buying them, but they managed not to spill the beans on it. Whatever the outcome, the rumor is busted if you ask me.
