This fall, Redmond-based software giant Microsoft is set to bring to shelves two new versions of its operating systems, namely Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.

The two share a common core, and it seems that they will share a common logo as well, at least this is what the latest info on the matter suggests.

On its webpage dedicated to the upcoming Build conference, set for late October in Redmond, Microsoft published a new logo for Windows Phone, in line with the one now used for Windows 8.

It can be seen above, featuring the same red color as before, but different than the currently used logo for the platform.

Until now, the software giant hasn’t provided specific info on the change, but it might do so soon, so stay tuned.
