It is obvious that Microsoft Surface is a product which will catalyze a new level of social interaction via its multi-touch, gesture and object recognition capabilities, all of them put to good use for the
sake of uninhibited flirting. Having been already introduced in AT&T shops in the U.S., Microsoft's first commercial surface computer will now deliver what the company referred to as innovative and immersive entertainment experiences at the iBar ultra-lounge, in the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. This thanks to Harrah's Operating Company, who is the first to offer an entire suite of applications tailored to Microsoft Surface, and customized for the Rio iBar entertainment venue.
"At Harrah's we are continually working to advance our innovation agenda and create unique, compelling and innovative guest experiences and unparalleled guest service," revealed Tim Stanley, Harrah's CIO and senior vice president of innovation, gaming and technology. Microsoft has not been shy about promising personalized and engaging social experiences via Surface and the programs made available by Harrah's Entertainment.
With the new Microsoft Surface computers and the customized applications from Harrah's Entertainment, Rio iBar customers will be able to not only interact at the same table, but also with people across the room. "People continue to be excited about the endless possibilities of Surface technology and how it can transform everyday scenarios, including the social and entertainment space," explained Pete Thompson, general manager for Microsoft Surface.
What Microsoft and Harrah's Entertainment are offering is the opportunity for Rio iBar's clients to communicate through Surface, flirt, play games or even tour Vegas. The most appealing feature of the customized applications is the ability for Surface users to flirt with one another from different tables.
"With this latest deployment of Surface, we're now bringing some of those possibilities to life and showcasing the breadth of opportunities Microsoft Surface provides to innovative businesses like Harrah's," Thompson said.
Tim Stanley emphasized the fact that the new solutions from Harrah's Entertainment together with Surface are just the first steps on the way to delivering "personalized, interactive and immersive experiences" to customers. With capabilities such as Flirt, Mixologists (for creating cocktails), Hip-notic, Head Games, See and Be Scene and Virtual Vegas Microsoft Surface.
