14 DAY TRIAL // Windows 10 marks a new beginning for Microsoft and in addition to the Start menu, it turns out that a new popular feature available in older Windows versions might be coming back.
Screenshots that were posted online today by Russian leaker WZor show that Solitaire could be reintroduced in Windows 10 when the new operating system comes out, but information is still scarce right now, so don't take anything for granted.
These photos, however, appear to suggest that Solitaire Collection could be installed by default in Windows 10 and thus bring back Solitaire with a modern touch.
Solitaire Collection is a Modern app released by Microsoft for Windows 8 which allows users to play Solitaire in the Metro UI of the new operating system or on touch-capable devices running it. But in Windows 10, a new version of the game could be pre-installed on all devices, these photos indicate.
Currently in testing
As you can see in these screenshots, Solitaire Collection is still in preview stage right now in Windows 10 build 10056, so a lot could change until the final version of the OS comes out. But what's interesting is that Microsoft is working to make Solitaire a default feature of Windows 10, after previously deciding to remove all games from Windows.
Is Microsoft going in reverse over some of its recent decisions? Maybe, but this could also be a way to make Windows 10 better and appealing to more users.
