Microsoft is, without a doubt, working on the next Xbox console and, in order to stop any further leaks from happening, the company has begun restricting access of employees into four key buildings on its Redmond campus.

The Xbox 360 is still quite popular in terms of sales but its age is showing so Microsoft, while promising that it will continue supporting the current device, is without a doubt working on its replacement.

After quite a few leaks concerning the so-called Xbox 720, Microsoft has apparently begun beefing up security in four key buildings from its Redmond campus that are occupied by its Xbox and Interactive Entertainment Business division.

This unprecedented security means that only employees of the division and vendor partners will have access to the buildings. Visitors will have to register their names and accept an employee escort at all times.

While the company declined to say in its employee memo, via Geekwire, why these new security measures were taken, it’s pretty apparent that Microsoft is entering the home stretch in terms of the next Xbox and doesn’t want any detail leaking out before it’s ready to announce the device.
