Microsoft launched in smartwatch-wannabe wristband called Band in late 2014, and since then, only a few customers have actually managed to get one, mostly because stocks are incredibly limited in the United States, so it is really hard to find one available.

But it's no secret that some of those who actually purchased one actually decided to return it because of the bugs they found when using the device.

Speaking about the experience with the Band in an interview on CNBC, Matt Barlow, Microsoft's general manager of new devices, explained that his company was already looking into ways to improve the device, and in case some people already found issues, they were being fixed right away.

And while this is true and Band updates are underway, Barlow also added that the price-experience combo you get with the device is “certainly magical.”

$199 (€150) price tag

The Microsoft Band is currently available in the United States only with a price tag of $199, and while supplies are extremely limited, the company says that it's working to bring more units in stores across the country.

As far as bugs are concerned, Barlow says that updating the software is a priority for the company at the moment, pointing out that everyone should be able to use it no matter their phones.

"I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you're running into, but a bunch of other people using those devices are having a great time being fit with Microsoft Band. With any types of new product rollout, you're going to have updates that need to occur with software,” he said.

“We're updating software and we're updating usability, so I'm definitely convinced that we're seeing people using the Microsoft Band with all phone types without any issues moving forward."

Microsoft has already promised to make the Band available in more countries across the globe in the coming months, but at this point, there are no details as to when this could happen.

For the moment, the Band is only available in the United States, and given the fact that it's really hard to get one there, imagine how difficult it actually is to buy one if you live in a foreign country.
