Microsoft promised to launch a second Scroogled campaign but, in the meantime, the company continues working on its current anti-Google effort that also comprises an online petition.

Specifically launched to convince Google to stop violating users’ privacy, the petition has attracted nearly 117,000 signatures, even though Microsoft has rarely promoted it lately.

“It's time to take back your privacy. Sign this petition and tell Google to stop going through your emails to sell ads,” Microsoft says on the official page of the petition.

As far as users are concerned, Google should stop going through their emails to display ads based on some of the keywords included in the messages landing in their inboxes.

“I think you should really listen to the concerns being raised here. Privacy is a huge concern for me,” one of the users wrote.
