Microsoft redefines itself these months, as the company prepares the launch of Windows 10 and its mobile sibling. Even though Windows Phone is still way behind its Android and iOS competitors, the Redmond-based company is trying to attract more customers by launching cheap but decently specced smartphones.

However, one of the main Windows Phone problems is the still-low number of apps in the Windows Phone Store (around 400,000) and the quality of some of these applications.

So, in order to convince developers that creating apps for Windows Phone is easy and rewarding, Microsoft announced new payments systems, which will be available beginning March 27.

In fact, according to Microsoft, Windows Phone Dev Center payout data export will not be available starting March 27 to the week of April 13.

This is due to the fact that Microsoft needs to take some services offline while they implement the new capabilities, so you should go to Windows Phone Dev Center before March 27 to export your paid transactions.

Make sure you export your payout data if you need info before April 13

The good news is developers should start seeing the changes in the Windows Phone Dev Center on March 27. There will be a new payout UI, much cleaner and data-rich. Four tiles highlighting the most often used summary information will be included in the current UI:

Reserved - the money you earned and not yet available for payment. Upcoming payment - the amount you will be paid in the next payment run. Most recent payment - the amount and date of the last payment you received. Total paid to date - the total amount you’ve been paid since your first payment.

A new report listing the proceeds by app and in-app purchase will be implemented too, along with the option to view most recent and historical payouts, as well as attempted payments.

Microsoft also added a new payment statement view, which is meant to provide developers with insight into their last payment. For more details on what the new payout UI will look like and the new implemented features, check out Microsoft's blog post.
